Refund policy

Reynolds Roost Bakery is a pickup-only home bakery in Anderson, Indiana. Everything we sell is perishable and always baked to order. This policy explains how we handle refund requests so you know exactly what to expect before you order.

No Returns

Because every item is perishable and produced for a specific pickup window, we do not accept returns. Once an order leaves Tiffany's hands at pickup, it is no longer eligible to be returned. By placing an order through our Shopify checkout or by direct text to Tiffany, you acknowledge this no-return condition.

Refund Eligibility

If your order is incorrect, or if there is an issue with the product itself, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup so we can make it right. We keep this window short because we bake within 24 hours of your order — issues are easiest to evaluate while the item is still close to the time it left the kitchen.

We do not issue refunds based on subjective product preference (for example, "I expected a different texture" or "the flavor wasn't what I imagined"). Refunds are available for actual issues with the order as delivered.

What "make it right" can look like, at Tiffany's discretion and on a case-by-case basis:

  • A refund of the affected item(s) to the original payment method.
  • A replacement of the affected item(s) at a future pickup window.
  • Credit toward a future order, arranged directly with Tiffany.

We reserve the right to evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

How to Request a Refund

Please include your order number and a short description of the issue. A photo of the item is helpful but not required. When we approve a refund, Tiffany issues it through Shopify Payments within two business days. Your bank typically takes an additional five business days to post the credit back to your account. Most refunds appear within about seven business days end-to-end; occasional bank delays can extend this, and we do not control bank processing times.

Custom Cake Cancellations

Custom cakes require a 72-hour minimum lead time and a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The deposit covers ingredient costs that we begin to incur as soon as a custom order is on the bake calendar. Cancellation terms work in three tiers:

  • Cancel within 48 hours of placing the order (cooling-off period): the deposit is refunded in full.
  • Cancel more than 48 hours after placing the order, when bake start is still more than 48 hours away: half of the deposit is refunded.
  • Cancel when bake start is 48 hours away or sooner: the deposit is forfeited. By this point, ingredients have been purchased and bake prep has begun.

Because each custom cake is individually scheduled, please contact Tiffany at 317-864-1872 as early as possible to discuss any change or cancellation. We will always try to find a workable path — rescheduling, a partial substitution, or credit toward a future order, arranged directly with Tiffany — before treating the deposit as forfeited.

Missed Pickups

If you cannot make your selected pickup window, please contact Tiffany at 317-864-1872 as soon as possible. We will do our best to reschedule you into another pickup window within the perishability window of your items.

If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of your originally selected pickup window, the order is considered forfeited and no refund is owed. Tiffany retains discretion to make exceptions where circumstances warrant.

Allergen Information

Reynolds Roost Bakery operates a dedicated gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free kitchen with no shared equipment. We do not, however, make medical-grade allergen claims, and we are not a third-party-audited allergen-control facility. Customers managing severe allergies are responsible for reviewing the ingredient list for each product before ordering and confirming suitability with Tiffany if there is any doubt.

Refunds are not issued on the basis of a post-pickup change of mind about a dietary or ingredient choice that was disclosed on the product page at the time of order. Refunds are issued for actual order or product issues as described above.
