What "dedicated gluten-free kitchen" means here
Reynolds Roost operates out of a dedicated gluten-free kitchen at our Anderson, Indiana home. No gluten-containing flour is used or stored in the kitchen. Mixers, sheet pans, baking utensils, the fryer, and storage containers are all gluten-free-only. No items are produced in a shared kitchen — ever. We do not bake gluten-containing items at home.
Tiffany built this kitchen because her grandmother has celiac disease. Her grandmother is a regular Reynolds Roost customer — the protocol above is how the kitchen runs every day, for her grandmother's orders and yours.
Standing allergen baseline
Every item we sell is:
- Gluten-Free
- Dairy-Free
- Soy-Free
Items that are also Nut-Free and/or Vegan are labeled on each product page.
A few items contain nuts and are not nut-free:
- The Peanut Butter Dream Bar contains peanuts.
- The Carrot Cake Jar in its default form contains tree nuts (pecans). At checkout you can select "Make it Nut-Free" for a pecan-free version, at no upcharge.
- The Fried Fritter Bites and Fried Donut Bites are made with almond milk, so they contain almond (a tree nut).
If you have a peanut or tree-nut allergy, please skip the items above. Every other item is nut-free, aside from coconut — which we cover separately below.
Eggs and other allergens
Many of our items contain eggs. Vegan items do not — those are clearly labeled.
We do not use major fish or shellfish allergens in any item.
For any specific ingredient question — including the brand and supplier of a particular ingredient — please text Tiffany at 317-864-1872. Every answer comes from Tiffany personally. We're happy to read labels with you on the phone if it helps.
Among our newer products, the Glazed Drop Cookies are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free, and vegan. Lemon Bar and Scones share that baseline and are vegan; both contain coconut (see below). Hand Pies are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and nut-free, and they contain egg, so they are not vegan. The S'mores Cookie is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and nut-free; it contains egg and coconut, so it is not vegan.
Coconut
Several items contain coconut: the Classic Cinnamon Rolls, Lemon Bar, Scones, S'mores Cookie, and the Carrot Cake Jar.
Coconut isn't classified as a tree nut under EU allergen labeling, and we treat coconut-containing items as nut-free on that basis — but the U.S. FDA does classify coconut as a tree nut. Most people with tree-nut allergies tolerate coconut; if you have a coconut-specific allergy, please skip these items. Each product page notes when an item contains coconut.
Cross-contact protocols
- All baking surfaces, mixers, and tools are gluten-free-dedicated.
- Nut-containing items — the Peanut Butter Dream Bar, the default Carrot Cake Jar, and the almond-milk Fried Fritter Bites and Fried Donut Bites — are each prepared in their own separate run and stored in sealed containers.
- The "Make it Nut-Free" Carrot Cake Jar is prepared on a tools-cleaned, surface-cleaned line distinct from the nut-containing run.
- The almond-milk Fried Fritter Bites and Fried Donut Bites are cooked separately, and all equipment is deep-cleaned between batches. They still contain almond, so if you have a tree-nut allergy, please skip them and tell Tiffany before ordering.
- Equipment and surfaces are deep-cleaned between batches; hand-washing and surface sanitization are standard.
What we cannot guarantee
We are a small home bakery, not a Class III medical-grade allergen-control facility. We do not have third-party allergen audits. If your medical team has advised you only to consume items prepared in an audited facility, please follow your medical team's guidance.
